<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\nRecently, director Alex Gibney<\/a>, who had been working on creating a documentary on Elon Musk<\/a> for years, officially released the first look at the non-fiction film. Following the release of the first trailer, Elon Musk was quick to share his response and strongly oppose the making of the documentary, which reportedly also includes testimonies and interviews from his ex-wife Justine Wilson, former partner Ashley St Clair, father, and colleagues.<\/p>\n PEOPLE reported that Elon Musk is strongly opposing the release of Alex Gibney\u2019s four-hour-long documentary on the businessman. He recently gained traction after the film had its official premiere at the 83rd Venice Film Festival. According to the report, Musk\u2019s attorney Alex Spiro sent a letter to the director about how his team had tried to contact him about the film on multiple occasions. However, Gibney simply refused to have any form of discussion about the matter. The attorney also alleged that the director made the documentary with a set agenda and \u2018conclusion\u2019 in mind. He also added, \u201cThis project did not begin as an inquiry. It began with a conclusion.\u201dThe trillionaire\u2019s legal team is threatening legal action<\/a> against Gibney for portraying false situations, including falsely accusing him of manipulating election results, among other things. Gibney\u2019s documentary recently premiered at the Venice Film Festival and included multiple interviews with people close to Musk. One of the notable interviews from the film came from Ashley St Clair, Musk\u2019s former partner and influencer. She mainly claimed that during the 2024 elections, Musk had a \u201cdegree of certainty\u201d that President Donald Trump would win. This is one of the main issues that Musk\u2019s attorney highlighted in the letter, adding, \u201cDefamation does not require an express accusation.\u201d He listed how defamation can happen through \u201cjuxtaposition, sequencing, narration, scoring, or the omission of known exculpatory facts.\u201dHe concluded the letter by adding that it is a notice for Gibney, along with everyone else who is involved in making the movie as well as distributing it. \u201cOur door is open if you decide to check your facts with the people who know them. If not, we will proceed accordingly,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n The news comes after Musk publicly called the film out on his social media accounts while replying to other people. In an X (formerly known as Twitter) post, Musk wrote, “Dogshit is worth more respect.” He had been replying to a video of Gibney at a press conference talking about his four-hour-long documentary, ‘Musk.’On another post, he replied, saying that Gibney \u201cjust assembled a hit list of people who either have an axe to grind or don\u2019t even know me (but still have an axe to grind). He has ZERO integrity. Horrible human.\u201d<\/p>\n Gibney\u2019s movie has been in development since 2023 and includes interviews from St. Clair, along with his first wife, Justine Musk, his father, Errol Musk, and Tesla co-founder and former CEO Martin Eberhard.
