Mileage figures for the entry-level 100hp turbo-petrol manual and strong hybrid variants have not been disclosed. The 1.3-turbo petrol engine developed in collaboration with Daimler (Mercedes-Benz) delivers strong performance, with segment-leading 163 hp and 280 nm of torque.<!-- --> The engine delivers strong and smooth performance, with a clear surge of power during acceleration. The mid-range remains robust, aiding drivability.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"13\"\/>This turbo petrol engine is offered in both manual and automatic (DCT) gearbox options. The Duster returns a claimed 17.75kpl with the manual gearbox and 18.45kpl with the wet-clutch DCT. These numbers place the Duster among competitive options in the midsize SUV segment. Comparing this with its rival, the Hyundai Creta 1.5 turbo, it\u2019s offered only with a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox. It has an ARAI-rated 18.4kpl, just .05 kmpl more than the new Duster.<!-- --> The Creta petrol returns 17.4kpl with the manual gearbox and 17.7kpl with the CVT.
