The announcement outlines the recruitment benefits that will be available to Ex-Agniveers under the new category.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"5\"\/><span class=\"strong\" data-ua-type=\"1\" onclick=\"stpPgtnAndPrvntDefault(event)\">Reservation and age relaxation provisions<\/span><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"7\"\/>According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ex-Agniveers will receive reservation in 50 per cent of vacancies for the notified posts of Constable (General Duty) in CAPFs and Rifleman in the Assam Rifles.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"11\"\/>The government has also provided a relaxation of three years in the prescribed upper age limit for Ex-Agniveer candidates. In addition, candidates belonging to the first batch of Ex-Agniveers will be eligible for a five-year relaxation beyond the prescribed upper age limit.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"14\"\/><span class=\"strong\" data-ua-type=\"1\" onclick=\"stpPgtnAndPrvntDefault(event)\">Exemptions in recruitment process<\/span><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"16\"\/>The new recruitment policy also grants Ex-Agniveers exemption from the Physical Standards Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and the written examination for these posts.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"19\"\/>The Ministry stated that these provisions have been introduced under the newly created Ex-Agniveer category in the recruitment process for CAPFs and the Assam Rifles.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"21\"\/><span class=\"strong\" data-ua-type=\"1\" onclick=\"stpPgtnAndPrvntDefault(event)\">Dedicated wing established under MHA<\/span><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"23\"\/>The Ministry of Home Affairs has also established a dedicated Ex-Agniveer wing to coordinate the further progression of Ex-Agniveers.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"25\"\/>According to the written reply, the first batch of Agniveers has not yet completed its term of engagement.
