A home can be many things, a place to sleep, a place to rest and rejuvenate, and a status symbol in the society. But there are some spaces where you walk into, and it feels like a self-portrait. The colours, the textures, the tiny details on the walls don’t just decorate the room, they tell you exactly who lives there.Shruti Haasan’s Mumbai apartment is one of those spaces. The actor and musician has never been one to blindly follow trends, on screen or off, and her home carries the same fearless, slightly rebellious energy. Here are some art inspirations to take away from Shruti Haasan’s home

Actress Shruti Haasan (Photo: @RoshUnfiltered/ X)

One of the most interesting features in Shruti Haasan’s home is an exposed brick wall sitting behind a grey spiral staircase that looks raw and sets the character for her home. The sculptural detail instantly grounds the space and lets the rugged detail speak for itself.

For Shruti, music isn’t a hobby that is kept quietly in the corner, it’s like the main character of her home, and her space speaks for that. She has a dedicated music corner that incorporates everything, her piano, guitars, vinyl records, and handwritten lyrics.

Her home also has a moody, gothic décor with playful comic-book touches. Her home is a combination of dark and brightly coloured walls. Her living room also has a dedicated graffiti art paired with cheeky, colourful pop elements, which keeps the mood from tipping into gloom.

Shruti uses “crazy colours” throughout her home, giving it a warm, bohemian feeling. By incorporating this idea, her space feels cosy rather than just luxurious and perfect. You can also incorporate this decor in your space by using a vibrant sofa, a patterned carpet, or layered textiles, which can do more for a room’s energy than any expensive renovation.

!["Quote]("https://static.toiimg.com/photo/msid-131603605/quote-of-the-day-by-amrita-sher-gil-these-little-compositions-are-the-expression-of-my-happiness-and-that-is-why-perhaps-i-am-particularly-fond-of-them-1.jpg" ""Actress")
