Mouni Roy recently grabbed attention after sharing a heartfelt social media post featuring her close friend Disha Patani. In the now-deleted upload, Mouni affectionately referred to Disha as her “little sister,” leaving fans gushing over their bond. However, the post was later removed from her account, sparking curiosity among social media users.

Before deleting the post, Mouni Roy had shared a stylish photograph posing alongside Disha Patani. While Mouni stunned in a black cut-out mini dress teamed with sneakers, Disha opted for a sporty vibe in a white sports bra, loose-fit denims and a white cap. Along with the image, Mouni wrote, “Missing my lil sister! Come back soon x @dishapatani.” The post quickly caught the attention of fans, many of whom praised the duo’s close friendship and rapport.

Over the years, Mouni Roy and Disha Patani have often shared glimpses of their strong friendship on social media. From luxury vacations abroad to stylish party appearances, the actresses are frequently seen spending time together. Their pictures from international trips and candid outings regularly go viral, making them one of Bollywood’s most talked-about celebrity friendships.

The deleted post surfaced shortly after Disha Patani became the target of online criticism following reports about Mouni Roy’s alleged separation and divorce from businessman Suraj Nambiar. Several social media users unfairly linked Disha to the reported marital issues between Mouni and Suraj, despite having no evidence supporting such claims. Following the backlash, reports suggested that Disha disabled comments on some of her social media posts due to the volume of hate messages she received.

On May 18, Suraj Nambiar publicly addressed the rumours surrounding his separation from Mouni Roy and strongly denied reports suggesting disputes or third-party involvement. In a detailed statement shared online, Suraj wrote, “Recent baseless reports surrounding our separation have been made in bad taste and are absolutely malicious. Let me set the record straight once and for all. There is no alimony. There are no disputes. There is no third party involved.”Nambiar further added, “Mouni and I chose to part ways together, with mutual respect and with full consideration for each other’s well-being. That is the truth. Everything else being reported is fiction, and in some cases, a deliberate attempt to vilify two people who have done nothing but ask to be left alone.”Calling out the unnecessary speculation involving others, Suraj also stated, “I want to state this clearly and finally: there is no truth to any of the claims being made about either of us, or about any third party. Dragging other people into this is not cool. Specially innocent friends who have nothing to do with this.”He concluded the note by requesting privacy and urging people to respect the joint statement released earlier by the former couple. On the work front, Mouni Roy will play the fake mother to Varun Dhawan’s character in David Dhawan’s comedy riot, ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’, scheduled for a release on June 4, 2026.

Mouni Roy shares glamorous picture with Disha Patani
