CBSE has issued a clarification after technical issues led to incorrect fee deductions during Class XII scanned answer sheet applications. The Board said students charged extra will receive automatic refunds, while those with lower deductions will be notified separately. It also confirmed that affected candidates will receive scanned copies without submitting fresh requests.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued an important clarification regarding the Class XII post-result process after technical issues were reported during applications for scanned copies of answer sheets for the 2021\u201322 examination cycle.According to the official notice dated 24 May 2026, several students faced incorrect fee deductions while applying for scanned copies of their evaluated answer books. In some cases, excess amounts were charged, while in others, lesser amounts were deducted due to system-related errors.<\/p>\n

Refunds to be processed for excess payments<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n

CBSE has confirmed that students who were overcharged will receive refunds. The excess amount will be returned through the same payment method used at the time of application. The Board has assured that no separate action will be required from the students to claim these refunds.<\/p>\n

Adjustment for short payments<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n

In cases where less payment was deducted than required, CBSE stated that candidates will be informed separately. If needed, they may be asked to pay the remaining balance. However, the Board has not announced any immediate action from students in such cases unless specifically communicated.<\/p>\n

Scanned copies to be issued without fresh requests<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n

The Board has also clarified that students affected by these discrepancies will still receive scanned copies of their evaluated answer books. Importantly, they will not be required to submit fresh applications for the same.<\/p>\n

CBSE assures corrective measures<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n

The notice, issued by Controller of Examinations Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj, stated that all affected stakeholders should take note of the update. CBSE has indicated that corrective steps are being taken to ensure smoother handling of post-result services going forward.The development comes as part of CBSE\u2019s ongoing post-result processes, where students typically apply for answer sheet copies and re-evaluation services after the declaration of board results.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
