The waves of drama have been sliding off the headlines in the Jolie-Pitt family, as four out of the six children of the renowned actors have dropped the ‘Pitt’ part from their names. As the siblings face the time for public credentials or announcements, they have been swiftly removing Brad Pitt’s identity one by one. Recently, Zahara Marley Jolie’s name has been trending all over the media after a slight change at the University’s commencement ceremony. However, she is joining Vivienne, Shiloh, and Maddox. While Pax did not officially remove ‘Pitt’ from his name, his comments about the actor surely caused tremors in Hollywood. Here’s a look at 4 out of 6 kids who removed ‘Pitt’ from their name.

Zahara Marley Jolie graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Spelman College on Sunday, May 17, 2026. Despite being listed as ‘Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt’ for the commencement program on the official website page of the college, she reportedly dropped the ‘Pitt’ part of her name during the ceremony, as seen in the YouTube live uploaded by her school. Moreover, in 2023, she joined the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority in her college, and she introduced herself without the ‘Fight Club’ actor’s surname. After the reports were charted on the internet, it was revealed that Brad Pitt did not contact his daughter for such a joyous occasion. “Nothing prevented him from showing up for her. Or ever visiting her. The day was about all she accomplished. Not whether he was willing to attend,” TMZ reported. Furthermore, the ‘F1’ actor allegedly did not even ask for tickets for her graduation ceremony, which was conducted over the weekend.

Shiloh legally changed her name from Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt to Shiloh Nouvel Jolie. Highlighting the deep-rooted rift between the family and Brad Pitt, the third eldest daughter filed a petition in the court as soon as she turned 18 on the day in 2024. While she did not publicly comment, she took the dissociation a further step by calling herself Shi Joli when she was credited at the high-level Hollywood choreographies. At the milestone birthday when she turned an adult, she formalised the estrangement, as per Grazia.

Vivienne, one of the youngest Jolie-Pitt clan members, chose to drop her father’s surname from her identity. She was simply credited as ‘Vivienne Jolie’ in the official playbill of the Broadway musical, ‘The Outsiders.’ The then-15-year-old worked as a production assistant in the play, which was produced by Angelina Jolie. However, it is not known whether she immediately changed her legal name as well.

Maddox, the eldest among the Jolie-Pitt siblings, worked as an assistant director on Angelina Jolie’s film, ‘Couture.’ In the credits, his name was mentioned as Maddox Jolie instead of Maddox Jolie-Pitt. While he was previously credited with his full name when he worked as a production assistant for the film ‘Maria’ in 2024, this change was quickly noticed by the viewers. Maddox was the latest sibling to change his name, until Zahara.

Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt might not have changed his name officially, but his private Instagram story resurfaces time and time again. On Father’s Day in 2020, he wrote, “Happy Father’s Day to this world class a****le!! You repeatedly prove yourself to be a terrible and despicable person.” Alleging that the actor makes the four youngest children ‘tremble in fear’ and does not possess empathy, he added, “You have made the lives of those closest to me a constant h***. You will never understand the damage you have done because you are incapable of doing so.”

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt with their Kids

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, the former “IT Couple” of Hollywood, started dating after they starred together in ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith’ in 2005. The duo’s relationship caused chaos in the entertainment industry, leading to the infamous divorce between Jennifer Aniston and Pitt. After being together for almost a decade, the couple tied the knot in 2014 in the presence of the children. The explosive divorce filings happened in 2016, when severe allegations were made about what happened that one time on the private flight. After fighting the legal battle for over a decade, the divorce was finalised in December 2024, but the real estate lawsuit continues to exist.

Zahara Marley Jolie
