Tata Motors<\/a> is gearing up to launch the updated 2026 Tiago in India, with the hatchback likely to make its debut on May 28. The company has already shared a \u201cBlock Your Date\u201d teaser for an upcoming launch, signalling towards the facelifted Tiago being the first among a series of refreshed Tata models planned for the Indian market.Currently positioned as the most affordable hatchback in Tata Motors\u2019 lineup, the Tiago competes with rivals such as the Maruti Suzuki WagonR, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and Maruti Suzuki Swift. Spy shots of test mules have already revealed a number of design changes. At the front, the Tiago facelift is expected to feature a slimmer grille, redesigned headlamps and a sharper bumper design, giving the hatchback a more aggressive stance than before. The side profile is likely to remain largely unchanged, although Tata Motors could introduce a new set of multi-spoke alloy wheels.At the rear, the hatchback is expected to get revised LED taillamps along with a redesigned tailgate and updated bumper styling. Some earlier spy images have also hinted at the possibility of a connected taillight setup. Tata Motors is also likely to introduce a few new exterior paint options with the facelift.Inside the cabin, the updated Tiago is expected to receive a redesigned dashboard layout along with a refreshed centre console featuring gloss black inserts. Tata is also expected to expand the feature list further, potentially borrowing equipment from Punch’s feature set.The outgoing Tiago already comes equipped with features such as a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, cruise control, automatic climate control, cooled glovebox, and electrically adjustable ORVMs. With the facelift, features like a fully digital driver\u2019s display and a 360-degree camera could also be added. <\/p>\n

2026 Tata Tiago: Engine options<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n

Mechanically, the Tiago facelift is expected to continue with the existing petrol and CNG powertrain options. The Tiago iCNG will continue to produce 75.5 hp and 96.5 Nm of torque and is expected to retain its dual-cylinder setup. Notably, the Tiago remains one of the very few cars in India to offer an AMT gearbox with a CNG powertrain.For now, Tata Motors is likely to unveil only the combustion-powered Tiago facelift, while the updated Tiago.ev could follow in the coming months. The electric hatchback is expected to receive similar styling and feature upgrades and could also get a larger 30 kWh battery pack option compared to the current model.<\/div>\n
