Angkrish Raghuvanshi continued his breakout IPL 2026 season with yet another composed half-century, helping Kolkata Knight Riders post a massive 247/2 against Gujarat Titans at Eden Gardens on Saturday. Most 50+ scores for KKR in an IPL season6 – Gautam Gambhir (2012)5 – Robin Uthappa (2014)5 – Gautam Gambhir (2016)5 – Robin Uthappa (2017)5* – Angkrish Raghuvanshi (2026) The unbeaten 82-run knock was Raghuvanshi’s fifth 50-plus score of the season, placing him alongside some of KKR’s greatest batting campaigns in IPL history. Only Gautam Gambhir has recorded more 50-plus scores for KKR in a single season, with six in 2012. Raghuvanshi has now matched the likes of Robin Uthappa and Gambhir, who each had five such scores in different seasons. The 21-year-old is also entering elite company across the league. Only Rishabh Pant in 2018 and Yashasvi Jaiswal in 2023 have recorded more 50-plus scores in an IPL season at the age of 21, with six each. Raghuvanshi has now equalled Devdutt Padikkal’s tally of five from the 2022 season. Most 50+ scores at the age of 21 in an IPL season6 – Rishabh Pant in 20186 – Yashasvi Jaiswal in 20235 – Devdutt Padikkal in 20225* – Angkrish Raghuvanshi in 2026 His latest innings came during one of the most destructive batting performances in KKR’s IPL history. Asked to bat first after GT skipper Shubman Gill opted to field on a sticky surface, KKR completely dismantled Gujarat’s bowling attack. The innings was headlined early by Finn Allen, who hammered a breathtaking 93 off just 35 balls with 10 sixes after surviving two dropped catches. But after Allen’s dismissal, Raghuvanshi and Cameron Green ensured there was absolutely no slowdown. The duo stitched together an unbeaten 108-run stand for the third wicket in only 53 deliveries as GT’s bowlers and fielders endured a nightmare outing. Gujarat dropped four catches in total, with Raghuvanshi himself getting a reprieve on 52 when Washington Sundar put down a chance.Highest totals for KKR in IPL272/7 vs DC, Vizag, 2024261/6 vs PBKS, Kolkata, 2024247/2 vs GT, Kolkata, 2026*245/6 vs PBKS, Indore, 2018235/6 vs LSG, Lucknow, 2024 Raghuvanshi made Gujarat pay heavily. Calm under pressure, he rotated strike smartly before accelerating brilliantly in the death overs. His unbeaten 82 helped KKR finish on 247/2, now the third-highest total in franchise history and the highest ever scored against Gujarat Titans in the IPL, surpassing Punjab Kings’ 243/5 from 2025. While Allen’s six-hitting assault grabbed attention, Raghuvanshi once again showed why he has become one of KKR’s most reliable batters this season. In a campaign full of inconsistency for the defending champions, the youngster’s rise has emerged as one of their biggest positives.
